5 boys and I were in Herald office 4th period. I heard Bernard Brooks is going to ask me to the Hi-Y party. Hope so. First period Miss Forene [?]call me in and told me what the play[ shorthand] had [ shorthand] act surprised for her. I didn’t make the dummy up. Mary wouldn’t give us the play story and the printer suggested we wait until Monday to put out the Herald.

Worked on the Herald 4th period. At the end Louiss [shorthand] I was surely surprised. Mother [shorthand] church banquet. Mary H and I went to Junior Guild meeting at Annabelle and Helen Uncapher’s.

Mary and I got up at 6 and fixed my hair. We started for Shelby about 6 p.m. We won the game and so I lost a bet. After the game we went to Johnston’s. Had popcorn and grape juice and cards. And then we went to Aunt Daisy’s and had another lunch. I believe Mary and Bob have it. I was with Bruce. We got home about 1:00.
