Tuesday April 4th 1933
Dirigible “Akron” fell into the sea with only three survivors. It just made me feel sick. Mary H got a pair of skates for her birthday. Mary Burtch and I went to “Second Hand Wife” on a 2 for $0.15 Ticket. Ice cream and cake for supper in celebration.

Monday April 3rd 1933
Got up at 11:30. And I haven’t the slightest idea where the afternoon went to. Went to Guild Echo meeting at 6 and of course when I had been looking for Louis all day he would come and ask for me when I was gone. Mary Burtch came home with me and we giggled far into the night.

Mary H and I went to the “Sign of the Cross”- disgustingly truthful. Told Helen why I’ve been acting distant to her. She cried at Mary’s so I decided I’d accept her invitation so we three had supper at her house. She does fix nice suppers. Got “Disraeli” & “Strange Interlude” at the library.

Went out to Edison 8th period and gathered up all the props. Mess getting all the costumes packed and all. Got my picture after school. Rather wistful but I think I like it. Actually rested this evening and it’s only 9:30 now. I haven’t been in bed before 12 all week.

Thursday March 30th 1933
Asked Max B. to G.R. party but “he’s too bashful for his own good.”
Everything went off perfectly tonight. Full house and rally so good. Louis was popped around all evening but I think he had a date. I ordered a print of my picture tonight and Mary Burch and I got a sundae after school and talked. I mean I talked.
