Walt came down again cause I’m going away tomorrow.

Wednesday May 24 1933
And it rained. I was afraid Walt wouldn’t come but I don’t think I would have much worry.

Tuesday May 23 1933
Helen came back this afternoon with Melvin & we painted some more. Had things to eat out under the plum tree. Got a letter from Walt. He went to Richwood for all tomorrow. Such letters!

Monday May 22 1933
Helen Wood came down this afternoon & we painted part of the Summer house. Over-alls, paint brushes.I wanted to get a new dress but would Mother let me. No

Sunday May 21 1933
Took Aunt Sylvia and Mary to Shelby. When we got home Walt had been here & left a note, a sweetest one & I gather he won’t be up tomorrow night.

Saturday May 20th 1933
I asked Walt yesterday in Louis’s Place. We kids waited for Bob and BB&W to come but they couldn’t get a car and mother drove ours. Went to Sugar Grove Lake. Walt carried me in the [illegible] places. Bob Haldeman and D sure just plain necked.

Friday May 19th 1933
At Chautauqua Pavilion in Garfield Park. Breakfast, Commencement, Dance.
To breakfast, then home for a minute and two gifts. Back to school for annual, grade cards and credit sheet. To Mary’s for pictures where Walt came and I took him home. With Bernard Brooks before commencement and after for senior dance at Rainbow Gardens. Home about 1:30.

Thursday May 18th 1933 Class Day
Drove over to the circus grounds got ice cream cones and then H&M went home. Wore caps and gowns to Class Day- nice and then Mary took us for a ride D&I. We three went to the “Mummy” in the evening and then D and I walked home. Gee, it was spooky. Louis came over and apologized.

Wednesday May 17th 1933 Prom
Louis was to have a date with Doris and he didn’t come.
Aunt Sylvia papered the kitchen today. Started getting ready about 6:00 and was ready when Walt came. We went with Bob Haldeman, Eleanor C and Bernard and Mary. Afterwards M, B & W came up. B left and then came back. We ate and went to bed. Helen came in about 4:15.

Tuesday May 16th 1933
Ye Merrie Play Party.
Washed my hair and Mary Burtch fixed it. About six Louis came over and asked me to go to the party with him but I had promised Helen. All the other kids went to the show. Course H and I got there late- Toasts, stunts etc. We drove around with Melvin after and they came up here.
