Saturday August 12th 1933
Walt is home again [shorthand] gosh [ shorthand] swell. I didn’t [ shorthand]
Daddy got me a new bathing suit. Red- Bradley just plain. Cleaned up my room- practiced- read.

Thursday August 10th 1933
It’s raining this morning. I hope it isn’t too tough on Walt. Wrote poetry for the kids and through Mary Birch came and are each looked at a picture. Went over to Helen’s this evening and Charles and I talked shortwave. I’d like to have one. 10:55

Wednesday August 9th 1933
Up at 11:00. Helen Sheneman came over to ask Walt and I over tomorrow night. Charles birthday but Mary and her gang had a circus so we went for a penny. Read this evening but I can see where I’m going to miss Walt. Mertie Gant here for supper yesterday.

Tuesday August 8th 1933
Mary Burtch and I went to “International House” sort of dark funny and I bought mother six green goblets. We window shopped and then she fixed my hair. Walt insisted on going to “A Lady’s Profession” and I sure enjoyed it. Then we got sodas. He’s going to camp [illegible] on Lake Erie until Saturday night.

Monday August 7th 1933
I am a Tenderfoot Girl Scout. Messed around Mary’s this morning and then went to Scout meeting. I surely enjoy them. Wilda went too and we got ice cream cones. Ironed this evening. Finished another doily.

Sunday August 6th 1933
Aunt May’s here for dinner. Mary Burtch and I got a Coke after Sunday school. After B.Y. Bernard Brooks and Mary came home with Walt tonight. Aunt Sylvia here. [Shorthand] went to Mary’s after telling fortune and I don’t see why I have to be such a beast but [shorthand] darling.

Saturday August 5th 1933
Took my music lesson and now I’m starting some interesting second grade stuff. Drove one of Binco’s Ford Coupes- so cute. Went to Mary’s and we went up town and then to her house and Walt came along after a meeting and came home with me.
