Big day at last. Picked Bob up at 8 a.m. and to Harding home. Charlie Evers told me there was a rumor going around that I had died. I told him it was my sister-in-law. Program aired at 9 a.m. until 12 a.m. Bob held his own against his former student Gene Trane who wrote a Harding book in 1975. All from previously published material Bob said. Drizzling rain but Ken Hamentrack was a credible Harding delivering his notification speech. Good points. Just caught the end of my brief appearance (on tape) telling of shaking hands with Harding during front-porch campaign the group around the video enjoy my editorial remarks on Trane’s.
