Trella Hemmerly – 1978-10-17

Tuesday October 17th 1978
Judge Charlton Myers in to tell me he could not be editor of history.
Took my Ethan Allen table up to Bowen-DeWolfe house about 1 and found that Carroll had done nothing toward getting it ready for meeting tonight. Swept while Mike delivered and at 4:15 took Gayle and Diane, buckets, rags and spic-and-span up and washed the chairs -50 years of dirt-, window sills, mopped floor. Back at 6:15 for finance committee meeting and had all but there for meeting. Asked Hal Boncutter to be editor. He worked on sesquicentennial history.
