Easy drive to Tampa area – Stopped with Andrews at Ruskin & they took us to Bahia Beach for lunch. Into Venice at 4:00 just in time to see KMI parade & flag ceremony. Cold watching. Rieger’s wonderful welcome but all their croton froze.*
[*Carl Rieger of Marion retired to Venice and had lots of croton plants. He shipped leaves of it to Trella at Hemmerly’s Flowers from time to time.]
