Friday, July 8, 1955
Final day Camp Day [sic]. Wet. Attendance down to 136. Bang up Inernational Program. Took David to dentist at 5:00. Supper at mother’s. 8:00 PM wedding appointment. Kathy & I home about 10:00.

Thursday, July 7, 1955
Day Camp. David at Keith Brown’s for today & tomorrow. Kathy & I home with Phyllis Kile for chicken supper. Helped Dorothy & Homer Kile make flower bed on west side of their house. Home about 9:30.

Wednesday, July 6, 1955
Daddy out & put glass in garage & storm doors. I fertilized with hose. Worked on brick walk from drive to terrace. Took David & Mike to Kiles at 5:30 for a swim. Saw 8 baby Wood Ducks – mother on river today & a dog puked in basement window tonight! Laddy still barking.

Tuesday, July 5, 1955
Day Camp. Bert Altmaier came for Nurse & fitted in wonderfully. Took Day Camp story to Star. Back in at 7:00 for wedding appointment (Nancy Sidenstricker) & then to see Gerald Roberts at Funera Home. Mike Leonard home with us. Tired & to bed early 9:30.

Monday, July 4, 1955
In to do Betty Griffiths wedding. Back out at 12 & Kathy & I cleaned until 3. Then cleaned ourselves. Mary & Rocky, Carl & Mary Jordan, Bernard & Rosina Brooks & kids & Bill & Erma Hutchman & kids for picnic. Lots of good food. Toured yard. All left about 10.

Sunday, July 3, 1955
Really lazed away the day. Mowed in AM again toward evening. Kathy to Sunday School & church & to YF. Thelma & Mary Brocklesby here in evening to order funeral flowers – gave them itis. Staffords here too. Nice visit. Hot! about 96. Ironed.

Saturday, July 2, 1955
Set out marigolds Mary Jordan brought me & mulched with hay. LeRoy Boger over to get last of cabbage plants & made my bank deposit for me. Balanced accounts. David home about 4:00. He was homesick at camp. Weeded iris garden.

Friday, July 1, 1955
Day camp AM. Madge Cooper out to make tape recording. Led 1 nature hike. Left at 1:00 & made talk on Daylilies at Garden Club. Supper at Mary’s then to movie with them “Far Horizons”. Headache before it waws over. Home & bed. Hot 90.

Thursday, June 30, 1955
Worked on accounts in AM. Bought Sales Tax Stamps – wedding appointments at shop. Shopping for Day Camp. To Mary’s for supper. Then to Gertrude Bosley to get Day Lilies for tomorrow’s talk. Daddy to Lake Erie with Dick Wade – boat nearly swamped.

Wednesday, June 29, 1955
Day Camp. Took 3 groups on Nature Hikes. Everything going smoothly. Star photographer took pictures.
