Made new iris bed along top of bank in front of house. 24 varieties. Daddy & Mother out with funeral pieces for Carolyn Lyons. Kathy to Kiles (after getting dead battery replaced) for swimming party. David & I took dip too. I sunbathed here at home. Mary & Rocky out.

Took Keith Brown in & went to shop. Katy stayed in to see Soap Box Derby. Daddy plowed garde with little tractor. I painted patio green but ran out of paint. Should have used 1/2 & 1/2 turpentine & paint! Ironed. T.V. no sound now!

Cleaned house spasmodically. Removed bat from Rec Room. Alice & Milan Gorby stopped in few minutes. Baked 3 apple pies for Day Camp staff party 17 here out of 20. ALso 5 kids. Kathy home with Phyliss Kile to make dresses tomorrow.

Tuesday, July 12, 1955
Phyliss & Kathy washed windows. Got out 7 batches verses. FertileIrrigated some more. Took Phyllis Kile home & left David to swim while I got poison ivy shot – Axthelm & base for crown on tooth – Vornholt. Eleanor Hinklin & mother here tonight & Aunt Lily & Joyce & Mike Fetter. Cool.

Monday, July 11, 1955
Watered things. Took David to Kiles at 4:00 for swim. I didn’t go in because of poison ivy. Got shot for it from Axthelm. Phyllis home with us & she & Kathy to Drive in with Helen Brocklesby & M. Meister.

Sunday, July 10, 1955
Kathy home so she could go to Sunday School & church & David at folks for ride to Logan County. Mary, Rocky & I to Columbus to see Hemerocalles at Stephans, M , Ballerome, Victor Ries, R. Meyers. Also stopped at Aunt May’s & Mary & Elmer were there. Park of Roses – little bloom. Home at 9:00.

Saturday, July 9, 1955
In at 8:45 to do Simmons-Williams wedding. Kathy helping. Then did Judy White’s wedding for tomorrow. Home at 5:30 & me to bed with headache. Up about 8:00 to FertileIrrigate* & back to bed. Kathy to choir practice.
