Tuesday, July 26, 1955
Hot – 96. In Columbus 17 days over 90 in July. Soaked iris garden some more & moved some to consolidate. Kathy & I sewed in basement. Dress & halter. Jay McGlore over. Popcorn & TV tonight.

Monday, July 25, 1955
In at 10:30 for Kathy teeth filling. Took my car to Ford for checkup before going on trip. Wedding appointments 1:00 & 2:00. Home about 4. Irrigated iris garden. Mother & Daddy brought car out evening. Set bugs Ray had in relaxting jar & wrote to Don Eff*.

Sunday, July 24, 1955
Kathy’s letter from Trinity read at Memorial Methodist & taken in for membership. David to Sunday School & church too. In to do Bailey wedding. Home at 2:00. Mary & Rocky out with vacation plans about 4:00. Kathy to MYF.

Saturday, July 23, 1955
In with Smiths to see 60 cu. yd. Shovel at Marion Power Shovel. Then they left for Marietta about 11:00. To shop to do Sidenstricker wedding. Kathy & I shopped PM – got her & me shirts & her a blouse & me a robe. Serviced wedding & home about 9:30.

Thursday, July 21, 1955
Byron had to take Byron’s car into Harrold’s Garage for check up. They had lunch at Mother’s & then I went in & took them through Mary’s & Erma Hutchman’s house. Home & to Kile’s pool for quick dip. Bob & Marcella Haldeman & Lisa & Helen Bonen & Sherman here for picnic.

Wednesday, July 20, 1955
All slept late & then in to Grocery Shop. Late lunch. Picnic supper with folks & Mary & Rocky. Showed moved & slides taken of Smiths when we visited them.

Tuesday, July 19, 1955
Mrs. Deyson out & helped clean. I cleaned out greenhouse for summer. Mowed lawn & finished painting patio just as Byron Smith’s arrived about 10 PM. Was 2 before I got to bed in living room. Byron & Ruth in my bed & their David on cot. Leigh with David – Nancy with Kathy.

Monday, July 18, 1955
In to Caledonia & got new battery put in $21.80 – to bank – then to Marion & Dr. Vornhold put gold crown on lower tooth. Worked at shop until 2:30. Slight shower. Back in at 8 for wedding appointment. Stopped at Mary’s – gave me my Sister-in-Law Day present! Kleenex box for car.
