Shopped at Wise’s for groceries.
Geo. Griffiths out & fixed TV set.

Thursday, November 3, 1955
40 today. Worked at shop. Rep at 4 over to Mt. Gilead of Kickoff Breakfast with Mary Kay Stone. PM did demonstration of dried arrangements for arts & crafts day. Erma Hutchman called asking me to stop. Had lovely green “Tote Bag” for me. Home to find furnace off. To Jordan’s for supper. Mary gave me lace collar – Kathy a scales for arrangements & David bunch of drith [?] papers 100-Bond. Messenger over to see furnace but couldn’t fix.

Wednesday, November 2, 1955
At shop. Folks out this evening with cake Mary baked & Soil Testing Kit for my birthday. Mother gave me two-tiered serving tray. David’s prize for selling Christmas Cards came. Model Gas Plane.

Tuesday, November 1, 1955
Read all AM. Just lazy. In to Marion at 12:00 then on to Morral. Mrs. McKafee for lunch & program committee meeting. Erma Hutchman, Mary L, Gladys N & Leta Duhamel. Read all evening. No initiative. Bed 11:00.

Monday, October 31, 1955
To Bank then in to work. Clarence Greer on vacation. Home about 6. Daddy & Mother out evening to light greenhouse stive. Dead mouse in TV set & after taking back off it won’t run!

Sunday, October 30, 1955
Took Kathy to Sunday School & then in to whop & worked until 1:00. To hospital with flowers for Thelma Swisher. Home & got marzetti, lima beans, perfection salad & apple pie ready by 4:00 when Paris, Helen, MargaretAnn & Bruce out for nuts. Nice time. Kathy to MYF. Romines left about 8:30. Gave Paris some books.

Saturday, October 29, 1955
Home all day. Cleaned up rooms & bookcase in hall – sorted & dusted. To Festival at school evening. David went as a “Rowboat” Made it himself, but no prize. Not much fun when nobody to go with. Home about 10:00.

Friday, October 28, 1955
Daddy out all day working on steps. Deyson helping. Paris & Dad Romine out AM for hickory nuts & fishing. Kids off school but had to take David in at 4:30 for dental & to get glasses fixed. Got me new dress $8.00 & Kathy new jumper $6. David 2 pr. shoes $9.

Thursday, October 27, 1955
Weede strawberries & iris. Daddy & Deyson out to work on bank by garage. I smashed fingerr building new wall below patio. Led Brownie Scount meeting for Evelyn Durham.

Home all day. Mary Cooper & June Coulter called about Scouts & Evelyn Durham & Juanita Lyons over.
