Thursday, November 24, 1955
In at 10:30 & worked at shop til 12:30. Then to Mary’s for wonderful dinner. Turkey just right. All 7* of us for ride around Mt. Gilead in P.M. & then here for turkey sandwiches & pumpkin pie. Lots to be thankful for. Health & home – parents, sister & children. Contentment.

Wednesday, November 23, 1955
In at 9 & worked hard 10 hrs at shop. Kathy sang in High School Choir for Thanksgiving program & then in to stay all night with Mary & Rocky & David in too. Me home about 7:30. TV – bath & bed. Lonesome.

Tuesday, November 22, 1955
To shop. Got supplies partly unpacked. Home @ 5 & off to Perkins Observatory with Freshman Class. David set Professor Stengerl(?) on his ear when he corrected him on mass & weight. Stopped at L&K in Delaware for lunch. Pat Esterline & Terry Swisher with us. Home about 11:00.

Monday, November 21, 1955
To Columbus with Erma Hutchman to buy Christmas Supplies. Hills and Smith & Young. Also shopped Lazarus. Got “shop dress” & slide holder for daddy. Home about 6:00. Bill Hutchman gave me pail of rich dirt for potting. Headach – to bed after getting kids supper.

Sunday, November 20, 1955
Revised & typed carols for Advent books. Typed up “Literature” poems highbrow markets. Mary & Rocky out for short time. Kathy baked cookies for MYF. Cleaned workroom & basement washroom this evening. Bath & bed 11:30. Still cold.

Saturday, November 19, 1955
Don Stahl first day at shop. Good designer apparently. Did Fetter-Creager appointment. Kathy helped. 2 1/2″ snow this A.M. TV tonight.

Thursday, November 17, 1955
Boat still there but upside down. At shop till 2:15 then me with Mary Cooper & M. Hollingsworth & Mary Brocklesby about Scout. M.B. & Brocklesby will be Neighborhood Chairmen & Troop Organizers. Ironed tonight.

Friday, November 18, 1955
Worked on Hartley-Hornsby wedding all day. Daddy & Mr. Deyson out & got boat out of river – still quite high. David in for dental appointment. Home at 6:15 Kathy to Jr. Class Dance at school with Bob Swisher. David & I TV & ironing. Snowing. Temp high today about 34.

Wednesday, November 16, 1955
River up & boat flooded. Temp dropped from 69 to 20. At shop. Mrs. Charles Harmon funeral. Headached again bu David & I watched TV – Kathy to basketball game. Donia won both. Wind tonight.

Tuesday, November 15, 1955
Home A.M. To Garden Center Christmas meeting with Mrs. Everett Combs decorations. She’s good. Warm – 65 today. Erma Hutchman got a car 54 Chev.
Headache tonigh & so blue.
TV fixed again. Really a mouse this time. Rained nearly 3″
