Wednesday, December 14, 1955
June Graham here to clean. Seems good. I helped till 1 then in to shop till 6:30. Took washing to Mary’s – Too much bedding to get done out here. Ironed evening. Cold 4 this A.M.

Monday, December 12, 1955
Slept till 9 – Pooed – then to shop. Never got caught up on door pieces, etc. Mrs. Stout is not working out. Too slow & dumb. Home for supper then to Shrecks for Christmas talk Child Conservataion League. No pay! Silk scarf. Took radio back to Ford Garage – Only worked 2 days. Home 11:00.

Tuesday, December 13, 1955
At shop all day & through supper. Had hair done during lunch & made bows. Talk tonight to Sorority (Dorothy Gail) at Dixie Tea Room. They had Santa & all. Good talk $5.

Sunday, December 11, 1955
In at 8:00 to do Curren wedding. Red & white poinsettias on white fur muffs & red velvet dresses. Stunning. Home at 3:30 & Beth & Kathy had dinner ready. Rested for an hour – Mary & Rocky here. Then alst minute things for Advent Carols. Kathy’s MYF group & Rev. Lockard’s & Swishers. About 35. Bed at 11:30.

Saturday, December 10, 1955
In at 8:30. Ramona Beck’s wedding & then Marilyn Turners. Mrs. Deywson off to go after Marjorie [their daughter] & Mrs. Stout just no good with customers. Serviced weddings & then grocery shopping. Home about 9. Kathy & Beth cleaned the house & baked over 100 cookies. Bath & bed at 11:00.

Friday, December 9, 1955
All day at shop. Kids in with Mrs. Granger & we ate uptown. Kathy to Helen Romines & had hair cut while I had wedding appointment – Iris Tennant. Then back uptown for more shopping. Snowing. Beth Hanning out for night. Kathy & I practised Christmas music. She sings 2 part beautifully.

Thursday, December 8, 1955
In at 9 but so worn out that I came home at 2 & went to bed. Late supper. Mrs. Packer here for wedding appointment. Then opocorn – cracked walnuts – TV & bed at 11:00.

Wednesday, December 7, 1955
At shop all day. Home at 5 & quick supper & bath & back to make Christmas talk to Beta Study Club. Robinb Baker & Virginia Greenland members. $5. Sold $8.00 stuff. Home at 12:00 Exhausted.

Tuesday, December 6, 1955
To bank & then in. Worked on door pieces etc that were ordered. Took wreath of evergreens to cemetery. Kathy sick headache tonight. Made Christmas decorations out of Tide & liquid starch. Worked on bookkeeping. Running about $350 ahead of ’54 (sales gross)

Monday, December 5, 1955
In at 9. Mother & Daddy to Columbus yesterday to visit Aunt May & then to wholesale houses this A.M. Got all Christmas things out & priced. To Band Parents Meeting tonight. Met Kathy’s “Mr. Howser”* who delights her so in teaching music.
