Sunday, March 11, 1956
Up at 6:30 to pack lunch etc. Over after Bob Swisher at 8:30. Gorbys here when we got back. 11 birds here & then off for Clear Fork, Castalia & Catawba Island. Wonderful day. Ate in station wagon. 45 birds. Waffles here. They left about 8:00. Bed 10:30 after cleaning kitchen.

Monday, March 12, 1956
In at 10:00. Just daddy & me designing. Don Stahl’s sister in & he was moving back to Bucyrus but we persuaded him to come back. Shopping with Kathy for shoes. David haircut. Supper at mothers. Roger Hemmerly here. To Gallinas for wedding appointment. Kids home then to Letha Lyons for wedding appointment. . Home 10.

Saturday, March 10, 1956
Keith here all day with David. Kathy to band practice AM. I went in at 9 to do hotel for Mrs. Schell. Two wedding appointments. Don Stahl “buying Mussers” not in. Daddy hired Ron Everly to learn business. To Central Christian Church to plan decorations. Kline gave me seeds & seedling trees from there.

Friday, March 9, 1956
In greenhouse AM. Transplanted 3 kinds pansies, Snowstorm petunias & tetra snaps. Small walk. Bulbs up. In with kids at 3:30 – Gave talk at Jr. Red Cross on butterflies. Kathy to skating party at Bucyrus. Keith Brown home with us for night. Ironed.

So sore from walking yesterday didn’t do much. Mother & Daddy out for minute P.M. River out of banks both sides. Kathy to Prayer Meeting with Helen Brocklesby. David popped corn for us. I ironed.

Wednesday, March 7, 1956
Up 6:45. Left Marion at 8:55 on NYC train with Bill & Erma Hutchman for Cleveland & Flower Show. Beautiful azaleas, tulips, geraniums. Raining as we left at 6:00. Waited in Hotel Cleveland lobby until train time at 9:05. Train slow & late so I got home at 1:00. Kids asleep.

Monday, March 5, 1956
Beautiful Day Up to 68. But had to work at shop. David in from school had to wait at Dentist so we didn’t get home till 8 – but sunk iron kettle for pool & straightened some blocks on terrace. Me to Band Parents meeting. Milan & Alice Gorby here with new Chevrolet Station Wagon.

Tuesday, March 6, 1956
At shop. David to scout meeting & I to Ruth Wier’s beauty shop for shampoo & set. $1.

Sunday, March 4, 1956
In to work until 12:00. Then home. Hutchmans dropped in then Mary & Rocky & David & I off to Castalia to see ducks & we did – 9 kinds almost tame. On around Marblehead & ate there. Home about 9:00.
