Sunday, April 1, 1956
EASTER
Alice & Milan Gorby over at 8:30 – Milan fishing & to pick David up after Sunday School. Kathy to sunrise service at 6:30 with her cymbidium from Bob. In at 9:30 to do wedding Alice helping. OK till I bumped my head. Then headache so Mary did church & me home & to bed for rest of day.

Saturday, March 31, 1956
In at 7 & hard at it all day. Caroline Foos added to staff. 21 of us in all with delivery men. Shop a madhouse but everything off pretty good. Estimate 650 corsages + boutonnaires. $1300 on cash register. Alice & Milan Gorby wonderful help. Home about 10.

Friday, March 30, 1956
Flat Tire when ready to leave. Milan Gorby out and changed it for me. So in at 8 instead of 7:00. Gorby’s + yesterday’s crew. Carnations, roses, gardenias. 350 made up as of tonight with 100 more ordered. Don Stahl helped on rose corsages after supper. He’s staying on. Home 11:00 pm.

Thursday, March 29, 1956
Kathy, Erma Hutchman, Ann Hutchman & Beth Hanning crew for corsage today. Did orchids, cymbidiums, camellias. Supper at Marys. Fanny & Floy in at 3:00. Gorbys at 9:00. Home at 10:00. 275 orders.

Wednesday, March 28, 1956
Jane Graham here to clean. In at 9:30 & into the melee – 182 corsage orders as of tonight. Got up plants most of day. Supper at Marys. To school tonight for Kathy’s Cantata. Home 9:30 – sorted wash. Bed 11:15.

Monday, March 26, 1956
In to work at 10″ 6 deaths! Had car greased & oil change. Back in P.M. to Board Meeting Scouts. Made bows at meeting. Home 10:30. Kids to “Song of South” while I as at meeting.

Tuesday, March 27, 1956
In at 9:00. Isabelle Scott working. Lots of orders in. 45 lilies. David played hookey – sore throat & made boxes. Kathy in after school to exchange shoes. Home 6:15. Me hair washed & set at Ruth Wiers. Kathy permanent at S. Guinthers. David to Scouts.

Sunday, March 25, 1956
In at 8 to do Kline wedding. Ron Everly helping. Mother & Daddy to Engles for plants. Wedding appointment shop at 3. Home 4. David & I T.V. Kathy to YF & to Marion to see “King of Kings” old movie.

Saturday, March 24, 1956
In at 10 but not busy. Worked on tomorrow wedding – made bows – cleaned garage. Got slacks $6 at Montgomery Ward. TV tonight & more bows. Bed 11:30.

Friday, March 23, 1956
Slept late. Worked out P.M. Temp 50. Daddy here to fish. No luck. Got kids at school as Kathy had French Horn to bring home. Inspected Home Ec rook. Across river & planted 4 willows. In shopping at 6:30. David suit $20, had $2, shoes $4, shirt $2. Kathy velvet skirt & blouse $3 – me blue suit $45.
