Monday, May 21, 1956
June Graham here to clean but she doesn’t get the dirt! Don Smith out to fix steps to river, painted cold frame sash. Mowed some. Paid him for all his work $30. Burroughs Club started arriving at 5:00. 30 of them for potluck supper & to roam. Kathy got out of all exams so she was home all day. To Brocklesbys for milk at 10 – Bed 11:00.

Sunday, May 20, 1956
In to do small wedding. Then home & cleaned some & mowed a lot. Browns out at 5 for picnic. Mother & Daddy too. Kathy to Graduation. Mother & Daddy helpd on odd jobs & I kept working till 1:00 mending, ironing, etc.

Saturday, May 19, 1956
In at 9:00 – 28 corsagettes for Freer girls luncheon. Daddy plowed my garden. Decorated hotel about 12 then corsages & white rose for ‘Donia’. To Faulkners for wedding appointment & got steam iron for Kathy from Mother & Daddy for her birthday in July. To Mary Jordans on way home & left graduation gifts for Bob & Nancy. Keith Brown here for night. Laid terrace.

Friday, May 18, 1956
20 corsages mostly for “Donia’s” Banquet. Home at 5 with them. Webb’s stopped & brought Colensia verna. We went to woods near Hunts – lilies galore. Over to see Bob Swisher – getting over mumps. Home & bed.

Thursday, May 17, 1956
At shop AM after getting DOn Smith lined up on screen door – greenhouse lite, etc. Donia at 1:15 with decorating for Home Ec style show & gave talk on arrangements. Mother \& Daddy out before I left at 1 to give talk in Bucyrus $5 on arranging.
Home 11:30 & tired.
Ultra blooming.

Wednesday, May 16, 1956
Took David in at 9 to have braces put on bottom teeth & then got his Scout Uniform for him & grad gifts for Bob Johnston & Nancy Jordan. Worked at shop until 5 & then home & then back to pack for talk at LaRue on arranging. Home about 11:30 – $5 & sold $7 vases. Don Smith working.

Tuesday, May 15, 1956
Don out & started on basement ceiling. Me in to shop – corsages & then to Pleasant Garden Club to judge arrangements $5 & back to work again. Took Kathy to Community Club & David to scouts but I stayed home and rested & got rid of a headache.

Monday, May 14, 1956
Mother sent Don Smith out to help me mow – which he did & also widened terrace at cold frames. Ordered acoustical tile for basement ceiling which Don will put on. Got fixtures at United Electric.

Sunday, May 13, 1956
Up at 6:00 to bird song. Milan & Alice Gorby & I bird watched & soon joined by Bill Hutchman & Dave Lockwood. Breakfast on terrace then Alice & I in to do Creager wedding. Back home at 3 & I mowed lawn – Milan & David caught 20 fish at Delaware Lake & he cleaned them for us. Mother & Daddy out. Kathy home from Asbury at 10:00.

Saturday, May 12, 1956
No hitches. Made nearly 300 corsages. Alice & Milan Gorby left at 5:30 & stayed all night with his folks. Me home about 10:00.
