Sunday, June 10, 1956
In at 8 & Don had my 2 baskets done. He worked until 12 & then I did 2 churches. Left for home about 3. Made homemade ice cream for Alice Gorby & Aunt & Paris Romine. They didn’t show up so fed it to Mary & Rocky. Uncle Willis Webb & 3 friends & Swishers when they brought Kathy home.

Saturday, June 9, 1956
Up at 6:30 & in iris for while – In at 7:40 McGinnis wedding. 30 Jobs Daughters corsages & 50 nosegays. Not too busy otherwise. Paris out fishing. Kathy & I to Ice Cream Social at ‘Donia. Mowed & talked to Paris. Bed 10:30.

Friday, June 8, 1956
Reset iris etc until 11:00. In with Kathy. Cleaned garage some. Worked on McGinnis wedding. Kathy decided to go to assembly with me. Home at 6:30 & set out marigolds & hardy alyssum. TV – bath -popcorn & bed 10:30.

Thursday, June 7, 1956
To see Hecker’s iris & tell them varieties. To shop about 10. Over $200 funeral work so cleaned out refrigerator. Letter & phone call from mother. They are at Mackinaw. Kathy had supper readyl. Irised. Louis Chappel over to pay bill. Standard Oil man fixed furnace. Nozzle needed cleaning.

Wednesday, June 6, 1956
Took washing in to Marys. Still not too busy at shop. Let Don have afternoon off. Banked $800 & had lunch at L&K. Dashed home to supper Kathy had chicken ready. Fran & Max Allen & the Carrens out to see iris. Still not all blooming. Mowed until 10:30.

Tuesday, June 5, 1956
About 20 corsages. I felt lousy so I left shop about 5:30 for hoem. kathy & I bothe had hair done. Home about 9:00.

Monday, June 4, 1956
Mother, Daddy & David left for Michigan about 4:00 P.M. Kathy in with Mrs. Wreith (she’s teaching in Bible School). Came out & got tickets for Wise’s drawing & then back in to it but didn’t win car – or anything!

Sunday, June 3, 1956
Alice Gorby over at 7 & she & I in to work on weddings. Hard work & through about 4:00. She on over to Gorby’s.
