Tuesday, July 10, 1956
Took Kathy in at 8 & busy at shop so I worked until 2:30. Home & dug iris. Had to discard a lot of seedlings that haven’t bloomed. Left some iris at Oborns on consignment.

Monday, July 9, 1956
In with Kathy at 8 (Eileen Silverthorn operation in Mich so Jim up there) Cleaned shelves at shop. Home about noon. Worked on checkbook. Daddy out & tilled my new bed along road behind shrubs. Mowed until 10:00. Ironed – TV Dug iris.

Sunday, July 8, 1956
To Columbus with mary & Rocky to visit Stephan Day Lily open house. Frank Murphy – McVickers – Harry O’Brien – Dick Meyer – Missed Paul Cook & Mary Williamson. Kathy with Bob Swisher – Larry Grace & Beth Hanning to Mt. Vernon pool. David with Swishers to Bucyrus. Rain PM.

Saturday, July 7, 1956
In but not much work. Emma & I delivered arrangement to Narional Home opening in Fair Park. With Mrs. Teitlebaum to Temple. Kathy to movie with Bob Swisher. David, Keith & I “Great Locomotive Chase” – Fess Parker.

Friday, July 6, 1956
Garden Club at Maude Robinson’s. Lovely home. Me chairman of hostess committee. Gladys Nystrom on dried arrangements. Keith Brown home wiht us. Headache bu bacl in for wedding appointment. Frankie Knapp 2 1/2 hrs. Dick Grimm up to talk about working for us.

Thursday, July 5, 1956
In to get Kathy & back home after lunch. Headache & in bed. Mowed lawn evening. Bertha & Ann Spencer & Carl Irick & his mohter over to order wedding flowers.

Wednesday, July 4, 1956
Rained AM. David & I weeded. Picnic supper here Marcy & Rocky – Jordans & Allen Fix – Harris’ – Swishers & Brooks & Tom & Jim Silverthorn. David & I in with Jim S. for fireworks & then to Mary’s for pictures. Home about 12. Kathy with other kids. not in yet.

Tuesday, July 3, 1956
In at 9:30 & picked up Kathy & got me 2 pr. shoes & David 1. Then to shop & got out wedding statements. Packed for talk to Claridon Garden Club. Stopped at Rocky’s for daylilies. $5. David to Scout meeting. I ironed till 11:30.

Monday, July 2, 1956
Took Kathy in at 8 & on to shop. Very busy so worked on throught until 4. Slept when I got home. Then planted pumpkin seed & zinnias.
Got bank statement in mail with dividend check for $7.50.

Sunday, July 1, 1956
In for 2 weddings. Don wired for me till 11:00. Home at 3:00. Nap. Mary & Rocky out to make homemade ice cream & freezer wouldn’t run so waited for folks to bring theirs. My new outfit a hit! I had felt like a tramp with no decent clothes.
