Wednesday, August 29, 1956
Thought I had better go in & get things line up for 10 weddings this weekend. (7 church decorations] so didn’t get much done to house. Dick & Phyllis Grimm & 3 kids – Deysons, folks & Mary & Rocky out for homemade ice cream.

Tuesday, August 28, 1956
Picked Beth Hanning up at 6:30 & then Isabell Scott & off to State Fair. First time in about 6 years. Good arrangements & watched judging of Bridal work. Kathy picked up Danny Phelps. Home about 7.

Monday, August 27, 1956
Warmed up today after a cool week. Worked in greenhouse & cleaned at garage. Put weed killer on walks & driveways. In to Mary’s at 7 & gave Mother & Daddy their Boontown plastic dishes. Girl Scout Board Meeting. Home 10:30.

Sunday, August 26, 1956
In at 9 & did 2 weddings by myself. Only 1 church. Uncle Roy operated on early Sunday AM for looped intestine. Mother & Daddy there all night & daddy back today. Mary, Rocky, Vivian Adams, Mother, David & I went through National Home at Fairpark. Quiet evening at home.

Saturday, August 25, 1956
Picked up church at Kirkpatrick & got pop. Back up to Hamilton’s to plan Judy’s flowers. Did small wedding. Picked Vivian Adams & Mary up at 2 & out to Caledonia for auction. Bought teapots & picture frams $1.85.

Friday, August 24, 1956
To Caledonia for groceries & bank & ran out of gas. In to shop about 10:30. Did small wedding (Potts) for 8:30. Home about 8:00.

David & I in at 7:00 & went to see Moby Dick.

Tuesday, August 21, 1956
To fair with Kathy. Didn’t judge flower show but didn’t agree with one who did! At United Appeals booth with Vi Fetter for 3 hrs. Mike DiSalle* on radio in same tent. Daddy back from trip to Caledonia with news that Laddy was killed on 30. Mary & Rock & we got him & buried him by bent oak.
