Dug iris for Marcella Haldeman right after work & she came after them with her 3 girls. Nice visit & she helped Kathy with jumper. Ironed jeans, etc.

Sunday, October 7, 1956
Ullmer wedding at New Bloomington & Nancy Fetter at Epworth. Made it in good time. David, John Benge & I took boat ride up river & saw 12 wood ducks on Irey’s part. Mother, Daddy & Mary & Rocky out for waffle supper. Wrote asking mothers relatives her for next Sunday.

Saturday, October 6, 1956
In early to do St. Marys wedding. Had 3 corsage weddings & one at Emmanual Lutheran at 7:30. A little rain but need more. Home at 8:00 & watched TV.

Friday, October 5, 1956
Left letter asking to be associate member with Nellie Kline where Garden Club meets today. Busy at shop & didn’t go. Took Kathy to school for band & she stayed all night at folks.

Sears out & connected washer so did a load tonight – nice!

Wednesday, October 3, 1956
Helen Hanning out & we cleaned garage good & rest so-so. Daddy out & put drain pipe on for new waher. Kathy got permanent at Shirleys. Grocery shopped at Reeces & TV’d. Mentruating practically a hemmorage.

Clyde Hinamon died. Real busy at shop. Mr. Deyson got another load of stone. He & daddy are painting new shed. Stopped at Mella Van Meter for anemones & variegated honeysuckle. David to scout meeting. Ken Silverthorn down. Washer came.

Took iris to Mrs. Peterson after work & stopped at Erma Hutchmans with book, gave me lima beans, cuke & melon. To Band Parents meeting. My first as Secy. Planning bake sale.

Kathy to Galena to visit Lockards with Jerry Gorby & Barb & Becky Brooks. Bob Swisher & Terry Swisher & Ken Silverthorn. I puttered garden A.M. Reset lily bed by greenhouse. Alice & Milan Gorby over about 3 & we went Delaware Dam area birding but couldn’t get close enough.

Delivered colored wedding & then up to pay for Kenmore washter $247.48 Will deliver Tuesday.
