In to do Pat Haines wddding. Red dresses white mums & red roses. Kathy had things in hand here for open house. Coopers-Kiles-Leonard-Silverthorn boys & Benge kids. I got sick doing wedding & Mrs. Deyson came over & helped me.

Hair washed & set at Shirleys at 8:00 $1.25. Stopped at Epworth for conference on decorating. Door swags & customers at shop. Addressed 75 Christmas cards tonight & watched Dickens Christmas Carol on T.V. Bed 11:00.

Wednesday, December 12, 1956
Another busy busy day.
Carl Boger & Tom Silverthorne down to get Carl’s record player. Kathy to Swishers for supper to help Thelma make candy. Got slow start on Christmas cards.

Tuesday, December 11, 1956
Took some deliveries & shopped for end table for mother for Christmas. Got 45 rpm spindle for portable phono – $2.98 & new needle cartridge $7. Isabell Scott working on cemetery containers & Dick Grim on grave blankets. Kathy to choir practice & David to scouts.

Monday, December 10, 1956
Still heavy funeral work & constant customers. Packed for talk after 6:00. Beta Study Club at Ruth Wiers in Caledonia. They are a lot more friendly that the first time I spoke to them. Know most of them now. Home 11:30. $5 & sold $5.25

4″ wet snow made a Winter Wonderland. Took pictures. Dubbed in attic P.M. MYF group for carols 30 kids including Beth Hanning & Larry ___ & Allen FIx & Nancy Jordan.

Saturday, December 8, 1956
Mary & Rocky really surprised us with at new 1957 Plymouth – gold! David visited Harry Horton AM. Still rushing at shop. Born wedding at Central Christian. Grocery shopped & home about 8. Kathy bowling with Helen Brocklesby.
