Couldn’t sleep so got up at 3:30 – Rewrote Steven Hiller’s ‘Americana’ article on the Ora Mansion in which he never says where it is located (among many other stupid sentences – disjointed information. He needs more than an editor – doesn’t even do elementary research. Family names with no first names – not all transactions dated – etc., etc. Probably won’t have the nerve to send him my version.
Also scanned Kathi’s 8th grade class picture. All members (and their teachers) autographed the reverse. Sent a copy to Kathi for her to identify pictures with names.
Johnson Property Service employee arrived about 11:30 & fertilized the upper lawn & end of lower driveway lawn.
Watered trees in pots that David dug for Gale & Dan.
Email from Gary Iams asking to come to Terradise with Emily Meyer. Ok’s it.

Took 3nd Actinol tablet for osteoporosis. Revisited Gracie Johnson (in a wheelchair) and her 3 grandchildren stopped here after visiting TNP. Raved over my ‘Garden of Eden’. Heard me on radio and ‘just knew you would live in a place like this – and she only saw the upper lawn area.

Call from Jan Kennedy – (Mansfield Native Plant Society) alerted me to an article about prairies in Ohio by Steve Stevens in today’s Columbus Dispatch. I contacted link online. He didn’t mention the Sandusky Plains – originally 200,000 acres – So I wrote an article about my involvement in making people aware of it & sent to her.
Then Dave Matyac sent me the same article with color pictures!
Swent my article to David & Gale for posting on MCHS website.
Fed the birds & picked up Sunday Star – cut some lettuce for salad for supper – my outdoors activities for today.
Cooked the beets Don Keil brought me & pickled most of them.

Sunny 82
No sleep until after 6:00 AM. Woke up at 9:00 David was loading bricks into his car. We had bfst on the deck. Took a golf cart ride to see all the mowing he did. Inspected log jam where the run empties into the river. Took pix of trees – including ‘alligator’ dead limb on the tree house box elder. Then across road – Showed me where he got into bramble to pick the blackberries we ate for bfst. While watching a rabbit in a a prairie path. Then it walked out – stopped to look at use and sauntered over to the trees toward trailer park. David used Roundup from the new bottle on front walk & patio. He left for Ohio State Fair about 11:30.
To Resource Center at 1:00 – Jane Ratterman there for Genealogical Society. Jim Carpenter brought me the name badge Jerry had made for me. Not acceptable – one read
Trella M Volunteer
I made my version & Jim put it on Jerry’s desk. Left at 3:00 – Stopped at McDaniel GM for Jim to look at a Buick sedan for $3,000. Says he’s getting a loan Monday. Wants brother to look at it. Purchased a flash card – 4 GB at Big Lots for $10. We both shopped at Meijer – Took him to his mothers & home by 5:00.

Tracy of Johnson Property Services came at 1:00 with statement for work. Paid $13,338 (the estimate was $14,580!) She made sure everything was ok’d by me. I took her on the promised golf cart ride into the woods & across road.
She is the ‘Project Manager’ – has her BS degree in Landscape Management from Purdue and a Masters in Financial Management. Eric & Sharon Johnson are retired. Told Tracy to tell Sharon that Dianne is interested in the business network.
Long email from Laurie Haldeman about a son of Henry Haldeman not otherwise documented.
