Picked up my car at McDaniels. Feels and drives so much better $79.
Worked from 9:30 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. on Huber newsletter. Took paste-up to Heritage Hall and ran 150 copies. Took to Mary’s to paste labels on and she will take them to Fahey bank tomorrow. They mail them for us.
Mrs Lutz from Wolohan’s out and we worked out present cupboard area by using two wall cabinets. One has a base cap. Her estimate is $3,465 including $417 for counter.

In to Heritage Hall, leaving my car at McDaniels (Inskeep) for rotor brakes repair. Their office closed so borrowed Harry Bard’s car to get a McDonald’s breakfast. Called David to see if I can get the printer working. When I mentioned a short cable that I didn’t know what it was he said it was adapter for Osborne executive but I found it was needed on the Osborne one to make it work. Don’t know who disconnected it in the move. Moved secretary’s and treasurer’s records from Center to Heritage Hall. But crucial 1986 records of Elections not there- need to show history of trusteeship of Heritage Preservation Endowment Fund.
Mary Rainier didn’t show up for training. Borrowed Mary’s car to come home and work on Fall Fair poster, eat, and close windows. Back at 3:00 for Cook’s Show Off committee meeting. Bake sale during Popcorn Festival on September 9th. Borrowing shop’s Chevy wagon. Home again to rest. Back in at 7 For Fall Fair committee meeting.
Called Hilda Hemmerly- Pat, John’s wife answered. Can’t make it to funeral tomorrow.

half inch rain
Worked on Huber newsletter and entered membership info from financial reports. Picked Mary up about 12:15- she drove. Don and Fanny already seated at 1:00 when we got to funeral home. Sat with Don, Gale Zimmerman and we three only ones of Floy’s relatives I saw. But room full of neighbors and friends and Fanny’s nieces and nephews and family. Burial at Hueston Cemetery. The church for lunch. Fanny asked Mary and me to sit across from her. She much more like herself today. A real ritzy 94-year-old lady. Took some flowers to their house, including our small mixed design arrangement. Waited about an hour for Fanny to come home with two nieces. The neighbor girl will stay all night with her.
Ken Hemmerly called saying Merlin Hemmerly died in Columbus Monday. Had cancer for several years.
Estimate from Baldauf on kitchen cabinets is $4,750 for cabinets plus $600 for counter. Guess I’ll still be considering Wolohans.
