Wednesday April 3rd 1935
Wally finally told me where his mother is. I think she’s treating him terrible.. She has $500 debts that she expects him to pay. So I see where if I ever thought of Wedding Bells they won’t ring for four or five years.
I read several letters she had written him.

Tuesday April 2nd 1935
Have nearly all my quilt finished. The print blocks I mean.
Messed around and turned in early.

Monday April 1st 1935
down with B Shelton and got here on time. Wally down this evening.

Sunday March 31st 1935
Mary made some fudge. She was going to fix it up with pepper, vinegar etc. but decided she didn’t have enough. So we ate it plain. I’m taking some back with me.

Saturday March 30th 1935
Worked until about 1:00 and then daddy came up the steps and tapped on the window. So he got to see my office.
Went to Aunt May’s after grandma and then over to some place by Mount Gilead to pay for the Dalia’s that he bought last fall.

Friday March 29th 1935
Wally took me to see Gary Cooper in “Lives of a Bengal Lancer” Pretty good action picture.

Thursday March 28th 1935
Got terrible sick about 11:00. Stuck it out in the office until 11:45 and then went to the restroom. Took 2 Seequit in hot water and by sheer willpower got up and went after some coffee. Slept until 1:00, went to work and worked all afternoon. Don’t feel so hot tonight or so bad either.
