Tuesday April 15th
Carroll’s group arrived before I got there at 7:15 and when I went up he was lighting candles. Board meeting was shunted to a table in Big Red’s workroom. Found later it was not his architectural class as he told me but the Lioness meeting. He handed over the $25 check they gave him for Historical Society. I couldn’t outstay him and looked him in when he left the door open as I left. This proves that he still has a key.

Got to Big Red Quick Print (Bowen house) at 7:15 but Carroll and his class there ahead of me. So he still has a key even though he gave me his last Friday. I found a pin in the parking area so went up to see if it belonged to one of the women. Carroll was lighting candles- another thing the letter asked him not to do. Board had to meet among the printing paraphernalia downstairs.

Saturday April 12th
Not busy Lil left today or visit with her daughter Pat in Nashville. Nel tells me her divorce is final but Lil has never mentioned it.

Friday April 11th
Mary and Kenny left about noon on four-week trip to Oklahoma, Arizona, California. Mother is positive no one will come near her for the whole time they are gone.

Thursday April 10th

Wednesday April 9th
Since Mary and Carl are on a trip to South Carolina, Kenny, Mary and I ate at Sizzling[sic] Steakhouse. Clarence’s sister and brothers and wives they’re celebrating Clarence and Ellen’s 50th wedding anniversary.

Tuesday April 8th
Andersen bay window delivered from Home and Kitchen Mansfield- $672 there instead of $800 at Henry Lumber. Storing it in TV room until stops raining.

Monday April 7th
Up early and had walk around Terradise. In to Marion and visited Bordeaux house. Brought back memories of their early married life. They left for Cincinnati by 11 as David had things to get ready for Reds opening day Findlay Market Parade.

Sunday April 6th
Cleaned the house a.m. Howard and I walked in woods. Flood this week eroded banks more. Lost more land this winter than in previous 10. Mary, Mother and Kenny came about 4 and I walked down with them. Grass so green all through the woods. Hepatica, Scilla and a few spring beauties just opening. They left about 6 and David and Karen and kids came about 7:30. Had three baskets with flowers and candy hidden for kids Sarah didn’t pick them up cause they didn’t look like Easter baskets to her! Showed some of my Arizona slides and served my fresh pineapple, date and black walnut salad with Knott’s Berry Farm dressing. But David wouldn’t even taste it. Karen said it was good. Offered David manager’s job at Hemmerly’s as of January 1st at $20,000 a year. He made $14,000 in market last year.
