Finished up as much stuff as I could before I go. Heine’s brother took me to the bus station.

Stopped at Magazine Store for some Cosmopolitans & Reader’s Digests to read on my vacation. Wally they met me after work and went with me.

Sunday June 23rd 1935
Bernard & Rosina down tonight. Daddy took Innis Bindley to Michigan this morning. Started about 2:30. While we kids were eating popcorn, in pops Aunt Sylvia.
Took part in BY tonight. “Why we should go to church.”
Wore my sailor dress for first time and mother had the stars sewed in the wrong corner. I’ll bet they looked funny.

Saturday June 22nd 1935
Got Daddy some things up town today or Father’s Day. I got him some ties and socks and helped by a white silk polo shirt.

Friday June 21st 1935
Daddy, mother and Mary met me at my room tonight. Raining pitchforks when we started for Marion. Stopped at O’Shaughnessy Dam. Watched the fish try to climb it. Great big ones.

Thursday June 20th 1935
Got sick about 10. Went back to work at 11:30. Pretty tough day what with that and wondering if Wally got a job. Ralph back this evening to go someplace. But I told him I didn’t feel like it. Wally down later (Davis’s away) Ask him what if I would have a date with Ralph. He said okay in a terrible voice and then in a better one. But I probably won’t get asked again.
Wally hasn’t got the job yet. Still a chance.

Wednesday June 19th 1935
Ralph Mohat came over this evening. Asked me to go to a party with him tonight, and to the Air Races Sunday. No, to both.
Wally came about 8:00. He’s on track of another job. Armour & Co. So we studied fractions. If those guys could only know how much it would mean to him.
