Friday August 20th
With Kass and Pete Mattimore to Tom Frericks office to go over first draft of agreement to sell shares of HF&G stock to Deborah and Mike Corea. Not many changes. But renewal of lease needs some negotiating to get it get it below $2,000 a month.
To HH where Carol Rubens was running Hallmark’s (Ran half of them with center page upside down!) at RC started copying Big Island Twp tax map of 1946[sic meant 1846]. Mary H up and we ate at Tim Hortons.

Thursday August 19th 70 degrees
Most of day at computer. Worked on reformatting Lucius Carhart files. Printed out digital pics. Figured my capital gains on sale of Hemmerly stock. Pay income tax probably on about $8,000.

Wednesday August 18th
Weeded bed around Terradise Natural Area plaque. Wrote to Barbara Eng (Mertie Gant’s granddaughter and Joy Payne- Genealogy material sent to them

Tuesday August 17th
11 a.m. dental appointment teeth cleaned. Mike Cloran just back from Ireland. Home by 12 noon. Don Keil here at 12:15. Dugout nondescript day lilies and hardy amaryllis in terrace bed. Moved them- (about 25 in three clubs) to bed along river to shed.
Picked Mary up at 6 and we ate at Tim Hortons. Then to MCHS for board meeting Sat by Norm Fogt. Told me Donna Ruth’s fall probably caused by heart problem and of death of a 18 wks old great-grandchild with bad heart. Elevator out for bids by September.

Monday August 16th
Call from Gene Roberts. He wants to rent Bordeaux- is sister of Joy Roberts.

Sunday August 15th
Spent all day learning Home Architect computer program. Mary out for supper.
Ran Kathi’s video of Ohio trip in June-1959 40th reunion-Terradise-Sue Frye in Michigan. Family photos from travelers albums. Read Willis Thomas’s revised First Surveys of Marion County” and First Trails & Byways”. So much excellent material so poorly presented. And he tries so hard.

Saturday August 14th
Kensel Clutter at RC to show him the Salt Rock Twp. 1846 tax maps. He was excited as I was. Will take copies I made and analyze them. Willis and Gwen Thomas stopped in to bring revised version of Willis’s “Original Surveys and Indian Trails” book. Much better after editing.

Friday August 13th
Kyle Wright is 6 I sent him an A.A. Milne book “Now We Are Six” plus $25. At RC with Mary Jo Baker and spent three hours copying 1846 tax maps. To “Something Good” for supper with two Mary’s
