Thursday January 5th 1933
Tried to finish making my books but it sure is a job. I took the letter down to Mary and we spent all evening composing one to B.J. She mailed it and then came on home with me.

Wednesday January 4th 1933
“Strange Interlude” Was or wasn’t it good? When I got home a letter from B.J. -he was down Monday night- and a letter for Mary. I’m so tickled. A car was bombed in front of Bindleys and knocked out all the windows.

Tuesday January 3rd 1933
Tough to be so busy you have to make books out of magazine serials to read them. Comprendez-vous.. I went to Mary’s to go to show but didn’t. I stayed for supper and we went to K. Thomas for Guild meeting. Mary thinks she’s found the person in B.J. and she thinks she’s just another to him.

Monday January 2nd 1933
Writing this Wednesday after receiving a letter from B.J.* I wonder what I did do Monday. Read in bed for one thing and now I remember an auto coming and going. Too bad. But 10 o’clock is no time to come calling!

Sunday January 1st 1933
Bernard thinks with D. gone he’ll be nice to me. That’s what I thought when he spoke at Sunday school but at BY I found that D. hadn’t gone. Could Friday night have anything to do with it? (Will I have the nerve to keep this up this way.) I mean this diary Jesse gave me.

Friday December 31st
Kass called saying David’s newly issued certificates and minutes etc were not there! I had overlooked them in a folder. Had to express mail them to David. We watched 21st century celebration around the world on TV mostly fireworks but ethnic dances to bed at 12:15 on New years 2000.

Pete picked up corporate book to take to Frerick. Mary out and helped fold my [illegible].

Tuesday December 28th
To Mattimores for Hemmerly Associates Dinner and Kass and Pete’s 42nd wedding anniversary. Kass made an announcement that Diana and Mike were buying Hemmerly’s and I did follow up. Changing of the guard. Very emotional for me.

Monday December 27th
Bill Hutchman and I did Christmas Bird Count. Good birding at Meerring[sic] in Morral so we got 19 species. Wrote story on Christmas bird count and emailed to Don Schlosser for Caledonia Call.
