MCHS 10-9 11 hrs
83-56
Prince Imperial’s 100 yr old box with 18” wide boards was dismantled & is to be used for a fence. No board action authorized the destruction.
More frustration with new computer – Rejects commands. Can’t print labels. Called David & I hooked modem up wrong so he couldn’t help. Made date to call 8:30 tonight.
Mark & Bill laid stone walls (Ottawa Dry Cut Limestone) & planted 2 Serviceberry trees dense yew & dwarf lilac at both sides of driveway entrance.
Took membership renewal & card form to Laippley for printing. Then to HH to lead tour for Green Camp group & others. Then ran labels for renewal & for Potluck. Also ran invitations to Potluck & got material ready for Helen to copy for distribution to board. Mary brought chicken dinner to HH. At 6:00 Richard West came back & sorted bricks – He laid them out in order while I told him which ones were to be placed where. Exhausted by 8:45. Picked up prints at Cliff Mitchell’s – He gave MCHS enlargements of glass negatives found in Linscott house 15 years ago.
Home exhausted. Called David & told him too tired to use modem & I would just work at HH using dBaseIII.

Streets closed for Farmer’s Festival.
Took Howard to Caledonia. Mowed from 11 to 3:00 – Even go the banks across the road. Looks great. Love the open look towards the road where the 3 Hopa Crabs were. Alos the view to the river from the upper deck that had been blocked by Washington Thorns.
Set out New Eng. Asters, late aster across the road among the mosquitos.
Mary H & Mary J picked me upt to go to Al’s in Cardington for dinner. Robin & LeAnne are separated from husbands & Bob’s son K is divorced. Ed Granger & Barbara Jordan seem to be happy in their June 30 marriage. Barbara is learning to be a Morman wife. Don Augenstein – Marine – is headed for Saudi Arabia.

No landscapers today.

MCHS 2 hrs + 100 miles
TO Class of ‘33 bfst at Isaly’s. Sat with Mary Gracely Conyers & Richard Minshall. Dick & Imogene here from Fla. Dick remembers daddy popping corn in water – (only a little, I think, to restore moisture). Reminisced about growing up on Dix Ave. He was 3 when I was born & played with my erector set.
Picked Mary up & off to Ohio Hist Soc to pick up “Time & Again” exhibit. Had it ready on loading dock. Then to MCI Cafeteria for lunch (Chi-Chi’s too full) – Then to 3rd Ave W to buy lamp for outdoor post – Cast Iron – $100.
Unloaded 3 boxes at Heritage Hall & left word on selling it up for the popcorn festival. It must be returned April 30, 1991.
Landscapers laying brick. Have to saw so much because they laid timbers too far apart i
