Saturday August 13th 1932
Mother cut out a jacket like one Vivian Johnston wore yesterday and I spent most of the day hemming edges. Mickey McKeever was over for a while to see about going to the Aak Street Reunion at Snyder’s after supper went to Mary Burtches. We walked home and around up town till about 9:00. Home and had popcorn.

Friday August 12th 1932
Am I tired when I got up up mother had cut out my blue print. I finished my white dress, made belts, etc. Went back with Daddy to go to Jr. Guild swimming party. All set and no cars again. I asked Daddy if I could drive. No but mother could. Got rid of Marcella, bought some gas, loaded up with 7. Went to Harrison Smith at Upper. About 14 of us. Swam, played croquet, ate sandwiches, rode home. Cold cream, bed.

Thursday August 11th 1932
Cut out my white dress. Pauline and Mary came over for a committee meeting and have I plenty of typing. I do now program books.

Wednesday August 10th 1932
Went to Pauline’s to pay varsity [?] visit and to hear about Granville. Mary Burtch came here and had to come over there. She came on home and had supper with us. I walked a piece home with her.
I had gone uptown in A.M. and got piece of material to make her a blouse and some white goods for Mary H and I a dress.

Tuesday August 9th 1932
Int. swimming party. Oh Yeah. Not enough cars, a little rain. The church parlors South end Park. Doesn’t that sound like a swimming party. Well it wasn’t. I was mad then but when Daddy wouldn’t let me go to Trinity’s last ball game that was worse.

Monday August 8th 1932
Woke up at 10:00 with Pat curled at my feet. Went to Swigart’s at noon and got the play. Typed the first act. Went to “Doomed Battalion” on bread tickets with Mary Burtch. She came up here for supper and afterwards we read a western story using Mary as the heroine-bandit, Bill as the hero and Bernard Brooks as the villain. Green camp scene of the action.

Sunday August 7th 1932
Saw the kids at Sunday school at last. Mary asked me down for dinner but I had to refuse for Uncle Gus’s and Guy’s were here for dinner. Donald left for Akron afterwards and I went out to get Mary. She was full of Bill and the Assembly. Walked out to her house for supper. Went to B.Y. Nita took us for a ride and mother came after me at Mary’s about 9:30. Gee I’m glad she’s home.

Saturday August 6th 1932
Finished my dress in morning. Went to Swigarts to see about play “Missionary Arithmetic” for Int. Guild to give. Completely rejuvenated my room. Sure looks swell. In evening went skating at Crystal with Tommy and Jessie. Had loads of fun. Got onto it fairly good. Eight different pardiners [sic] during evening. 1 girl.

Cut out my green dress. Donald Shuster is here. His vacation. Mrs Harold and Raymond came up after him. E.O. Uncaphers brought up their little brown dog for us to keep for 2 weeks. Scotchie. Part bulldog, but I’d hate to say what the rest is.

Thursday August 4th 1932
I was over to Helen Sheneman’s yesterday for a pattern but I forgot it so she brought it today. Mrs Epley down to ask mother to serve at Live Wire Banquet tonight. So I got supper for Helen, Marcella, Mary, daddy and I went to Int. game in the evening. Bernard Brooks played only half a game and came and talked to me all the rest.
