Took Kathy to Missionary meeting. Sat to the back & she played with chairs & Lanky & behaved fairly well. Mother with us & we went shopping afterward. Kathy really gets a thrill out of the stores. Last Thursday, Jan. 28
Mary & Peg here tonight. Worked on my old suit but decided would have to buy new for a skirt.

Evelyn Marks Manter’s last Scout meeting. She’s going this weekend to be with her new husband at Selfridge Field, Michigan. All thrilled about her new home etc- But seems like I always get left with the bag or troup or what have you.
Mary Johnston brought her kids* & put them to bed here while we went to school. Had a time persuading her she needed to learn how to teach that there was more to it than taking the roll & telling a story. Talked until about 11:30 after we came home.

The mission course ended last night. So maybe after this I won’t be so tired on Monday.
Mary Johnston over to go to Guild Meeting with me. At Geneva Albert’s. Signed whether we would still be a member after Guild is a circle.

As are all good American housewives I am saving tin cans for salvage. We wash them, remove label, cut out the ends & step on them to flatten to conserve space.
Kathy has evidently taken this all in for whenever she finds a small box she takes it & steps on it like I do the cans.

Leadership training courses sponsored by Marion County Council of Churches started tonight at Epworth. I’m taking “Ways of Teaching” taught by Dr. E. A. Walker of Presbyterian Synod. Very good- Just sorry that Charlotte Miller is only Jr. teacher taking any course at all. About 15 or maybe 20 enrolled from Trinity.
Mrs. Charlotte Bindley died yesterday. She had been in & out of the hospital for a year. I hope I leave more to mourn for me*.
