Colder again – typical grey Feb. day- about 35.
Ironed & got into a desk cleaning looking for addresses of Jr. Teachers.
Miss King resigned Sunday & Lora & I had been considering Opal Epley & Glenna Philbans. Lora called today & suggested Opal first because she’s been taking this course. We’re planning a teacher’s meeting for tomorrow night.
Mrs. Miller came in & stayed with Kathy while I biked down to get our ration books.
Walt took me to see “Star Spangled Rhythm” with 41 stars.

Worked on Sunday School lesson this morning.
Meeting of Council of Church Women this P.M. about “Foster Home” nursery care for working mothers. Civic angle disturbed some of the women & they wanted to act childish about it. Admire Mrs. Holloway’s* ability to conduct a difficult meeting
Worked on cupboard in Jr. room & made up record cards for Mary to mimeograph.

I have cut up the old coat & skirt that was my first purchase of any amount after I went to work 9 years ago & made a jacket from it.
I bought green wool for a skirt & have made it up too. – Maybe the war will help me to wear out some of these good old things.
