Cleaned house in morning. Mrs. Holloway came up about 2:00 & we worked on programs for missionary society. She practically did it. If her ideas weren’t all so good I might resent her pushing most of mine aside. Worked on it until 6:00. Then fed Kathy & daddy came over with order from Noveta Gardens. Ordered 2 kinds Asters & Artemisia & got those & Sun God Gaillardia, baby breath, achillea, dahlias, etc. Lewie Kuhl & wife came up while I was putting cucumbers, cantaloupe & watermelon seeds out under Lotkaps.

Finished up ironing this A.M. Planned cookie sale, wild flower trip & Corp. Beltz drilled us some more at Scout meeting. Shopped, trying to use up points before they expire. Bought all the canned goods & wanted – 86 points & I still have some. Then bought a callie ham – 36 pt & $2.23. To monther’s for supper. Brought Kathy home & put her to bed about 7:45, protesting that she wanted daddy. Spent the evening writing letters to Mary, Interstate Nursery & Byron & Ruth.

Kinda dopey all day. Started ironing toward evening. Daddy came & we planted 4 rows potatoes. Then bathed Kathy & me. I took Kathy to mother’s to go to bed. Got caught in a storm over there. Then Wally & I went to see “Random Harvest”. Grand! As good as the book although it was presented differently. Picked Kathy up about 12:00.
