Stan went with a truck to Albion & Monroe Michigan. Ben in charge with me standing by. Things not as bad as they might have been.
Ben asked me to take his car up to Esther on my way home. Drive with the emergency brake on part way. Oh me.

Got my afagan [sic] squares out & arranged them. I’ll have enough for 2 pillows. Worked on a center for the one & to bed about 10:00.

Snowy- cold bad day. Oh for spring!
I have to work tomorrow so I’m spending a lonesome evening in my room.
Brushed my hair thoroughly & did it up as Helen Hayes’ Victoria. Did I look awful!

Helen Hayes- in “Victoria Regina”. Ate soup & salad. At Isaly’s & then got in line for second balcony admittance at 6:00. Willard Durfee met me- Snowy & cold & even at that we sat in about the tenth row. But Willard brought glasses and we could catch expressions very well. The most outstanding part of the performance was Miss Hayes’ variance of the voice to correspond with the age of the Queen she was portraying.
Malted Milk Shop for Waffles & home. So tired.

Four months- or nearly that. It seems so long. How will I feel four months after June?
Marriage frightens me. I’m sure Walt loves me- now. But with all the mistakes I’m bound to make will he still love me? And he’s so considerate of me. Too much for my good. If I can only keep myself from taking advantage of his consideration.
Letter from him today says he has 3 or 4 houses for me to look at Saturday. But rather discouraging.

Aunt May packed my lunch for me. I wish I could do something real nice for her. To work 15 minutes early.
Stan all pleasant and ready to make up after his pouty spell of Thursday & Fri. However I have continued the attitude he forced upon me during that time. See how he likes it.
Washed my hair with Fitch’s Shampoo- So sudsy.

Sick headache- Oh me a whole day wasted. Up & down several times but I couldn’t it. Merlin & Bruce were in for a few minutes. Over to see Bob who was down to see Mary.
Walt & I went uptown about 7:00- and did it snow- But my head was so bad we only stayed about 20 minutes & then home again. And to bed – It took hot cloths to put me to sleep. Wally soo nice.
