Able to read Irish magazine and “Ireland on $5 a Day” Marion Flower Shop sent beautiful arrangement. Also Bob Shrum. Called Shop & mother.

Changed dressing – removed catheter & just as I was up for first, Paris walked in. Genevieve Beers, Gen Kilbury, Erma Hutchman, Martha Smith.

Each day a little better & have gotten used to catheter. Virginia Kear, roommate & Guerney Jerew aid are very kind to me.

Wednesday, March 11, 1970
Removed only uterus & cervix. Fibrous cysts. Then I remember Dr. Morgan said I had them just after David was born. I am very angry with Dr. Axthelm. Mary fed me noon – David night.

Tuesday, March 10, 1970
In to surgery at 8 – Back in room about 1:00. Bless Mary – Tubes and I don’t remember much more.

Monday, March 9, 1970
In to hospital at 2:00. Thought X-Rays & ECG was unusual for D&C. Dr. Axthelm in P.M. said he felt hysterectomy called for & promised I could work Easter week. Called Kent in to finish Easter order.

Sunday, March 8, 1970
Walked through woods. Picked mother up at 2:00. Her to Floy’s Me to Gift Show Columbus. Mary & Rocky back from “Eclipse” trip to Charleston SC. David & Karen back from Chicago.

Saturday, March 7, 1970
To Brush Ridge for wedding during eclipse time – took negatives to look through about 75% here. Mary & Rocky near Charleston SC for big went total & David & Karen on John Hancock Bldg in Chicago.
