Temp 60 & Sun. David out & planted herb seed & hauled soil. Picked up flood debris. Bill & Erma [Hutchman] & Little Bill out – Paris & Helen [Romine] out. Hobart had 2 live & 1 dead kitten.

Kent [Haycook]- Sis [Autumn Bills] – Isabelle [Scott] & I handled Saturday business. Apollo 13 – 8,000 miles per hour on way to moon. Stopped at David & Karen’s to see Lois Case. David’s photo of Bennett Comet in Star.

To Artisan’s Guild Brunch at Hotel Harding with Erma Hutchman. Bob Thomas with Modern Flower Arranging. Worked at sho[p from 2 to 6 – Dick Wilson out to estimate attic stair & basement wash room.

“First Day of Spring” – Sun & temp to 70. Spring Beauties, violets, hepaticas, scilla, crocus, winter aconite. In to shop at 5 – Dinner with Mary & Rocky. Talk at shop for Junior Federated Women’s Club.

Cleaned up locust pods & beds around patio. Martha Smith over.

Monday, April 6, 1970
To work in rain about 11:30. To mother’s for lunch – Mary & Loren there. Paid $385 to employees in Easter & my time off bonus. Too tire to help Martha with flower class.

Sunday, April 5, 1970
Called Kathi – they are going to Bellingrath.
Took mother with me to deliver to LaRue. Then to Killdeer to see whistling swans! Also ducks. Home about 3 – sunny & 50 degrees. Walked around pond.

5 weddings wnt well except for an outburst by Kent when I asked to see bokays. I only serviced Middleton & she had her lily of the valley! David planting seeds in greenhouse when I got home exhausted.
