Mad funeral rush. About 50 pieces. Had to call Connie in. Only had Dave & Laura. Debbie considers herself too great to do funeral work.
Had Burroughs Club, Camera Club & a meeting of Citizens Committee. Had supper with Mary & Rocky & decided not to go to any. Cold still terrible. Mary gave me “Contact” to take.

All 3 phones ringing – only Lillian to answer. Isabelle, Kassie & Edna in front room. Turned down deliveries all day. Borrowed Judy’s car to run a delivery with Cindy hopping – Ran out of gas before we’d gone a mile. Dave Hempstead ran my car over a parking blocker at Temple Israel & was an hour getting it off. Shop a solid mass of people. Dick Straub, Tom Chandler & Mary & Rocky all ran deliveries in their cars. Clarence on truck about 20 funeral pieces. 3 weddings. I took John Getter’s flowers to Trinity. Had planned to go to Fantastix with Virginia Howard but too tired. Bed at 9 – no supper, too tired. $3,000 rung up on register.
