Kathi cleaned bedrooms & bathroom & front porch so the house was in good shape when Ed Thomas & Dr. David Stansbury came to look at Ray’s lepidoptera collection,. Stansbury will find someone to appraise it & I’ll need to “translate” locales, but they’ll probably be ready for it this fall.
Quest Club picnic with 35 members & guests. Perfect evening for outdoors & marvelous food. Margaret Barnhart handed me gavel as new president, Meeting over by 9:00. Kristi quite a hit with Dale Hughes.

Wednesday, May 14, 1975
Slept until 11 & then dragged in to shop. Had to sign checks – used up the $9,000 balance real easy. Kathi waited all day again for the phone installation. Finally came at 4:30 without the right phone. Kathi & kid’s down to Walt’s for a visit.

Mary in at 6 – so when I got there at 8:30 2 deliveries already out & 3 more ready to go. Turned down deliveries all day, but I think this discourages dead beats. Designing for orders finished at 3 & deliveries done at 3:30. No funerals. Shop jammed all day. Cash register over $5,000!
David called after I got home at 6:30. They will be up tomorrow P.M. Kathi called about 9:30 from Peru, Illinois. Will be home about 6 tomorrow.
Terradise so beautiful. Crabs & apples & red bud out, grass mowed. Just gorgeous.

Up about 8:30 & birded – Black Throated Blue, Blackburnian best sightings.
Mary, Rocky, Mother & Betty out about 4. good to have all the “sick ones” out again.
David & Karen arrived about 4:30 & we got supper all ready & was walking in the woods whtn Kathi & the kids pulled in about 6.00. Had chicken & cole slaw & Mary brought scalloped potatoes & potato salad. So good to have all my family on Mother’s Day.
