Monday, August 25, 1975
Worked all day sorting out wedding charges entered wrong. Judy in doing billing. Got it finished but not all mailed. Brought Mother out to help & she declared she couldn’t do it because we had changed! What she was doing was exactly what she’s done for years, but she heard us talking about new system & this was her reaction to it. I took country delivery – knew Noel would get lost.
Made 200 bows & indexed 4 pages of Jacoby History.

Sunday, August 24, 1975
Do nothing day. Howard sprayed poison ivy. Cut brocolli – froze 4 pkgs & cooked some for supper. Also had peaches & cole slaw from yard “garden”.
Kathi & kids out about 5:30. She got boxes out of attic that she left when she moved to Utah. Worked on indexing Jacoby History & to bed at 11:30.
Got stung by yellow jacket.

Mrs. Jones here to clean. Howard & I took delivery to Caledonia, cut bittersweet & golden rod, bunted trillium seed pods in Mrs. Wait’s Woods. (It’s too late)
Checked out my “back 40”. Left at 3:20 for State Fair to meet Karen & David. They got there at 5:40! So I saw arts & crafts building well. Hot & humid 87. Got Terradise sign “Wood cut”
David had 4 snowcones. Home about 10:45.

Rocky in hospital. Couldn’t breathe – filled with fluid.
To Historical Society Board Meeting. Have option on Bowen House owned by Mary Retterer. Board thinks $24,500 too much. Retterer may lose it & we could buy at Sheriff’s Sale. To Isaly’s after with Carey, Marge Williams, Carroll & David Van Oosten.

Went to Camera Club Meeting at Gallery 2 – 2 owners – Larry ? & ? Lause – Swink men. Showed framing techniques.
Marjorie Dyson Haggerson called from Michigan asking to use me for reference as her first experience with flower arranging. I’m proud to have inspired her! She’s done so much & is really talented. Is pd $4.50 an hor in Jacobson’s shop.
Watched old Bette Davis movie “Mr. Skeffington”

Took Mary to Columbus Gift Show with me. Arrived about 3. She bought $100 music box from Schmidts.
Nathan Sung – Far East Trading Co. invited us along with about 12 others for dinner at the Peacock Chinese Restaurant. About 10 different dishes. Another Chinese family there made for interesting conversation. Home about 11.
Lillian & Connie did weddings.
