22 at flower arranging class tonite. Called Don & Agnes to see if we could visit them Oct 14 & 15 – seemed delighted. Gabrielle in for Spanish lesson this AM.

Maggie & Sis out & we went to Gourd Show at Mt. Gilead then drove to Lucas to see Charlie Evers Country Store. Apples at Osborne’s. Kathi & Davie here when we got home.
I mowed with riding mower & Davie ran after me. I asked him if he was tired. He said “I’m not tired, I’m happy.”

Bacon & eggs breakfast for kids & they off to Ohio State game. Rather slow day so I came to Caledonia to Kellog auction. Things went very high. Supper with Kathi.

Kathi had dinner for Walt & his family. Karen & David up from Cincinnati – visited in Marion till 11 & then out here to sleep. David loves Cincinnati.

No good all day & had so much I wanted to do. Callie’s kittens showed up on patio – 3 I think – all very wild. David called – they will be up tomorrow night.

Don left for Viet Nam today. I went down with the Decker’s to Port Columbus to see him off at 10. Proud of Kathi – and Don!
We went to Lockbourne for shopping. Supper with Kathi.

Shirley Connelly out for last time to clean. Gabrielle & Nina at shop for Spanish lesson. Faye Kuhn called to say deal might be off on Alwilda’s 36 acres so I my get it yet!

Mary & Rocky & Mother & I drove to NE of Logan to see Alwilda Sterling’s 36 acres to see if I might want to buy it. She greeted us with :I’ve sold my farm” – $12,000 and it has a producing oil well! She had dinner for us after we had picnicked.
