4 sprays today – cold not over 10 all day. All girls went to call on Pick at 3:30. Supper at Kthi’s & baby sat while she went to German Class. Men have panelling all on & heating material is here.

Didn’t realize how much more work Pic has been doing because of increased business.. Very busy on 4 funerals. Ordered 12 dozen roses from hills bu bus. Gave Flower Arranging demo for School Secretaries at N. Main [Street School]

Tuesday, January 26, 1971
Maggie clled at 8:30 saying Carl Pickett had died. I went over to be with Pic a while. Ruby Graham there. Terrible wind & cold. Program Committee for Quest Club met at shop to plan programs.

Monday, January 25, 1971
Men working on room again. Tore small closet out of kitchen & didn’t cover anything. Terrible mess. Supper with Kathi & kids.

Sunday, January 24, 1971
Headache – Planned Florida trip. Mary, Rocky & Mother out to see new room. Cut Forsythia for forcing & burned honey locust pods. Called Howard 20 minut es. He will come to Terradise in Fall to live.

Saturday, January 23, 1971
Eve burned Century shipment boxes before they were unpacked – $28 worth of stuff for Flower Arranging Classes! Beal wedding at Emmanuel Lutheran. Took Davy to see “The Aristocats” – his first movie. He was very good.

Friday, January 22, 1971
Kathi & kids to see Shorty’s Mamaw – overnight at Turner’s in Dayton. Took delivery to Richwood & checked on carpet. Also at Sears & House of Design. Decided to buy celery “London Mist” shag at House of Design @ $250.

Thursday, January 21, 1971
Picked Callie up – her uterus was really bad.
Kathi & kids out PM during snow storm. Temp about 34. Sears man put new burner in greenhouse stove but the oil tanks are frozen. To Quest Club – Social Security speaker.

Wednesday, January 20, 1971
Kent’s flower arranging school started. 36 members, so will have a Monday & Wednesday class.

Tuesday, January 19, 1971
Kathi some better so I went to work. Home at noon to feed cats. Wilson has wall removed to new room. Took Callie to be spayed at Kantzer’s. She is about 10 years old. Took supper to Kathi’s – home at 7:30.
