Breakfast at motel. Robins by thousands in Georgia. Picked up sweet Gunes balls at lunch stop. Howard’s place 1100 miles from here & its greenness stood out. Panies & violets blooming & so good to see him.

Tuesday, February 16, 1971
Eldon brought Genevieve over & we started out on snow covered ground at 8:30. Good driving – all night in Chattanooga – fairly cool – good dinner at Quality Motel restaurant.

Monday, February 15, 1971
Leisurely morning with Karen & David. They left to ski at 12:00. Hair done at Adrians. Visited Loren at hospital – Mother & Mary Baker. She gets up at 3 AM for breakfast & sits all day with coat on. Wrote checks at shop – supper with Kathi – Bought pants suit at Fashion Barel. Packed until 11:30.

Sunday, February 14, 1971
David Decker thanked me for sleeping in his bed – he slept on floor on tiger rug. Maggie & Sis & Kent in for funerals & wedding work. I got home about 6. David & Karen here about 9 – watched Ben Hur & raked & me over the coals for what Meisters did to me at wedding.

Saturday, February 13, 1971
Terrible storm – wind drifting – but kept 4 delivery vehicles on road. VW great – Greg did wedding at Windfall but I sweat out every delivery. And still people poured in. Kent picked Martha up & took her home. Genevieve couldn’t get in.
At Kathi’s all night.

Friday, February 12, 1971
3″ snow & wind – roads bad so stayed at Kathi’s all night. Kept Betty & Etta busy all day delivering.

Thursday, February 11, 1971
Loren will have prostate gland operation tomorrow so Mary Baker won’t go to Florida with us. Kristi cut on anus & Kathi took her to hospital. Kathi to Lockbourne & will have series of tests.

Wednesday, February 10, 1971
Maggie not speaking to me. Kent & Jeanne fighting. Loren Baker exploratory operated on at Community Hospital & Etta in for Valentine work. To Mary’s for supper – mary Baker – Mother – Kthi & kids there.
Can get gas in this spring.

Tuesday, February 9, 1971
Headache during night. Had to shovel drifts before I could get to work. Altrusa called off so I baby sat while Kathi went to Red Cross. Davy put himself to bed.

Monday, February 8, 1971
Blizzard – snowed all day. Total about 7″ & drifted. I worked at cleaning & sorting papers for income tax.
