In at 10:30 to see Dr. Lenzo. He made appointment with Dr. Fred Merchant. He thinks a hernia at end of incision – wait to see. To Quest Club & then 25 of them to shop for Kent demonstration.

Wednesday, November 3, 1971 [Trella’s 56th birthday]
Abdomen soreness much larger area. Howard had cake for me. Martha brought cake to work. David & Karen called. Kathi & Don brought pizza out for supper. Mary, Rocky & Mother our for cake.

Tuesday, November 2, 1971
Voted. Helen Williams recommended me to Dr. Vic Lenzo & I made appointment for 10:30 Thursday. Altrusa Board meeting at hotel & I brought dessert. Shopped. Home about 8:30. Howard in bed. I watched TV.

Monday, November 1, 1971
Genevieve & Mary & Rocky to hear & see “Don Cooper” – “Canadian West” – he is a second Will Rogers. To Kathi’s after for lunch & she gave me lounging PJ’s for birthday.

Sunday, October 31, 1971
Up at 5:45 (time change day) . Picked Mother & Marcella Haldeman up at 7 – Also Aunt Lily. Left Mother & Lily at Floy’s. To Hocking Co. Clear Creek Valley, Camp Wyandot & Mrs. Risch’s* 128 acres. Also visited her. Home by 6 – Picnic leftovers with Mother.

Saturday, October 30, 1971
Kathi & Don & kids to Dayton to see Turners. Temp 82 & sunny. I left shop at 5 – shopped & delivered to Timson-Allen. Planted tulip & hyacinths & picked up walnuts with Howard. Fixed chicken & cole slaw & pie for tomorrow.

Friday, October 29, 1971
Headache – Back to bed till noon. Gorgeous day. In to work at 2:00. Took postage meter in for first refill. To Kathi’s for supper. Went to Walker’s wood & made list of trees.

Thursday, October 28, 1971
Gorgeous blue sky day. Had breakfast on deck. Plated tulip & hyacinths. Howard stomach upset. Sally cleaned. I mowed in woods – grass green – leaves down. Cleaned deck. Temp 70.

Wednesday, October 27, 1971
Worked on billing. Dinner at Isalys. Changed clothes at Kathi’s – they went to Steer Barn with Walt & Olgua. Took Genevieve to see Guy Lombardo on Concert Series. Warm evening.

Tuesday, October 26, 1971
Billing & salesmen. Martha off at noon for 2 1/2 days of vacation. Altrusa dinner – Spanish Fan in centerpiece & pumpkins & strawflowers. Pam Zucker spoke.
