Down in woods buring & raking. Temp 54 – Cold front dropped temp to 0 by 5 PM. In to shop to mail Bird Count report & take Grady reports. Howard got greenhouse ready for below zero. 2″ snow & ice.

To Altrusa Board Meeting. Dinner with Marie Kanauble at Women’s CLub Home. Talked with Betti Busch about Germany. Planning Sesquicentennal program & decorations for Jan. 24.

To Burroughs Club at Elizabeth Ammans. Bird movies.

Sunday, January 9, 1972
Cooked swiss steak dinner for Kent, Howard & MOther. Kent cleaned spouting. Howard put shelf in camera closet. To bed at 5 with headache. Up & 7 & tried to clean closet, but back to bed at 9:30.

Saturday, January 8, 1972
Price misc stuff got from Moiselle. Grocery shopped – $31! Home & fried liver & hash brown potatoes, Howard ate with me. Showed Mexican slides.

Wedding at St. Pauls – Shopping. Bought grey blue pants suite at Sears $15. Robe for Kathi at Pennys $10. Records, tape at Musicland $13 – Sale records 50 cents & 1.69. To Moiselle Peterson’s for more of her selling out.

Thursday, January 6, 1972
Slept till 10 – Bath & washed hair. Got tape from kathi that she mailed Tuesday! Wrote to her all PM. To Quest Club – Don Garver gave pictures of Killdeer. Hazel Augenstein held forth on new “Women’s Club”

Finally a not so busy day. Had mother at shop stuffing statements. Supper at LK & then to see Genevieve Beers – D&C this AM. Community Hospital. Back to shop workiong on bird count & writing checks. David called.

Tuesday, January 4, 1972
Nick Maul has moved into 633 Bordeaux. Paying $185 mo. rent. Have had 2 calls from real estate people about selling it.
