Monday, January 31, 1972
Busy funeral. Mailed boxes to Kathi – Ben Simmons went with me to 552 N. Greenwood. He fixed smashed thermostat. House a mess. Howard fixed swiss steak & potatoes. Watched end of “Where Eagles Dare”

Sunday, January 30, 1972
Studied German most of day. Books, records, & tapes. Short walk – but temp only 15 – Drove to Killdeer at dusk but saw no Snowy Owls – Supper at Mikes Family Restaurant. Watched movie.

Saturday, January 29, 1972
Headache AM so back to bed until 11. Haines wedding & COnnie did Hord at Wyandot. To Mary’s with Kathi’s tape & Mother’s tape recorder. Took Sis, Rex & Kent to Chamber of Commerce Dinner. Sesquicentennial opening.

Friday, January 28, 1972
New FilmoSound tape recorder on my desk this AM. David mailed it from Cincinnati. Sent him check for $115 to cover it & accessories. Insurance Co. will pay $67.

Thursday, January 27, 1972
Sallie cleaned – Didn’t see Howard all day. I sorted papers. Had headache bu made it to German Class. Just class members reading the book. Wrote Kathi.

Wednesday, January 26, 1972
Took Callie to vet & he says her lumps are cancer & into her lungs. I took her back to shop but took her back to Katntzer in PM & left her for eunthanizing. She was over 10 years old. Sad.

Took off about 2:00 for Columbus. To Claprood’s & Casco & Lazarus. FOund a used FilmoSound tape recorder for $71. Bought Harris Tweed Coat $79. Called David & he had bought new FilmoSound!
