Slow day. Genevieve in & getting show room rejuvenated. Picked Mary Jordan up at 7:30 (Carl in hospital) & went to Palace to hear Vincent Price read “Dear Theo” – to Isaly’s after.

Worked on German with Howard. Sally cleaned. To Quest Club Dinner – took Mary Rockwell as guest. Introduced Ted Myers speaking on Marion County History.

Wednesday, March 1, 1972
Woke with headache & didn’t go to work until 1:30. Kent did my talk at YMCA.

Tuesday, February 29, 1972
Decided to go back to gift show. Took Howard. West German postcards interesting. To Flower Show at Lausche building. Garden displays well done. Warm – in 60’s.

Monday, February 28, 1972
Made out Easter orders. Kent & I to Gift Show in Columbus at 1:00. Didn’t get around by 7:00. Nixon arrived back in Washington from China trip. TV on blink so listened radio.

Sunday, February 27, 1972
Cleaned dead stuff out of greenhouse. Amaryllis, hyacinths, lily of the valley blooming. Howard in despairing mood. Took walk to Bee Run. Pic & Lillian Vance dropped in. Bill & Erma for steak.

Saturday, February 26, 1972
Met David Spiggles at 552 N. Greenwood to show them house. They called later & said they wanted it. Dick Wilson gave $2,000 estimate & can start Tuesday. Mother at shop to stuff statements. Not too busy. Brad Bills for wedding order.

Friday, February 25, 1972
Jr. Ballinger gave estimate of $3,500 to fix Greenwood St.!

Hemmed blue dress – Howard & I to Mansfield to visit Kingwood Greenhouses – Elation begonias a flop – Mine better – Engels’s much better. To Richland Mall – bnought books. Supper there. To German Class in Marion.

Wednesday, February 23, 1972
Took mother to Mitchell’s office to sign deed*. Gave her $3,000 cash & signed not for $5,000 @ 6 1/2% interest for 5 yrs. – To supper with mary Jordan & Brooks & then shopping.
