$56 short on cash register. This happens too often. To Mother’s for lunch. She gave Mary & me each $500. She had over $10,000 in Savings Acct. Randy Smith stung by bees.

Very busy funeral day – Maggie off on vacation. Jane Barr will work PM this year. Called Camera Hut – Body only ready to ship. Will send body & 1.4 Nikor lense to Barb Parker in Brooklyn.

Monday, August 28, 1972
At shop til 3:00. Met Karen & David at Ohio State Fair. David headache & sick while we watched livestock auction. They left for Cincinnati & I did Natural Resource – Fine Arts & Commercial Bldg. Too much Honky Tonk.

Sunday, August 27, 1972
Worked at packing for trip & cleaning off deck tops, etc. Howard helped get bed ready for Rhododendron. Brooks & Jordans out evening.

All weddings OK. I serviced 3 – Ruth Rizzo – Mary Jordan’s step granddaughter at Trinity. Lord decorations at 1st Presby by Kent unusual. Olympic openings on TV. Mother at shop PM to stuff statements.

Set up work sheets for 6 weddings Saturday & ordered flowers. Jane Barr delivered because Carolyn sick. Rain! Loren called from hospital. Dr. wants to take Mary Baker to Columbus for tests. Went to hospital. She just sits.

Monday, August 21, 1972
Woke with headache. In to shop at 11:45. Lunch on picnic leftovers. Isabelle Scott & I to gift show in Columbus. Nothing really new to buy. Home at 7:30 to hospital to visit Mary Baker. Very listless.
Letter from Kathy. Has reservations at Berchtsgarten & Garnish for us & will meet me in Paris.
