Thursday June 23rd 1977 Isabel sold $112 on sidewalk sale. Patin with report lost $700 in May.
In to help set up sidewalk sale. Isabelle presiding. Morrison in with three more bumper estimates- Jesionek told him off! Said he could fix it for $25 and all he wanted was a $200 check to pocket. Jesionek sure had him pegged. I took him to Feldman to make report.
Stop at Hutchman’s and Hooper’s. At home Howard showed me cowbirds egg in nest by deck along with three indigo bunting eggs. I took it out. Worked on MCHS minutes. Bath and into Scotch & Sirloin for “retirement” dinner for Connie. Beef kabobs 14 of us – $119 I gave her cut-glass German bowl and shop gave her snips, tape, Etc.

Tuesday June 21st 1977
Sherry Roe bit by dog her second day at work.
Called Kathi- things no better but she doesn’t think Bob realizes she may be leaving. Al [Tracy] came in about 3 to tell me he’ll be on Air National Guard Duty for 8 Days. Gave me a little more info about himself.
To MCHS meeting at Ted Myers. Jim Miley of Marion Public Library had much information on oral history. Pete Thayer talked on future of Harding Memorial Association and says no hope for federal or state help. Favors a fundraising drive. Charlton Myers disagrees. Home at 12.

Wednesday June 22nd 1977
More wedding appointments. About 10 so far this week. Got miscellaneous stuff out for sidewalk sale and priced it plenty low
Sherry backed into a woman in Fiat at CM Center. Damaged license plate holder. But Mrs. Morrison insisted she come back and show us damaged bumper. I could see no damage but she came in with a $225 estimate!
Fried cube steak and had broccoli and watermelon for supper.

Monday June 20th 1977
To Camera club meeting at Sawyer-Ludwig park at 7. Had Holly ?? there for photographing- a newly trained model but very good to work with.

Sunday June 19th 1977
In to see Arts Festival about 4:00. Camera Cub Club slideshow very good- 2 projectors to dissolve and a sync tape with voice and music. They used five of the 12 slides I submitted.
Shot roll of film on Easter Cactus that had 2 blooms. Mostly with new 55 micro.
Bill and Irma out. Sat on deck and later inside. Told them of my concern for Kathi’s marriage since they “held my hand” when she wouldn’t listen to my pleading to not marry Bob last September.

Saturday June 18th 1977
Kathi and kids off at 7:30. Sure hated to see them go. Good start on weddings and everything went fine for 8 weddings. Mary took one to Richwood and somebody there took the bouts out of the box. Bride called up called us and Laura ordered them from Richwood florist. Of course they found them before wedding.

Thursday June 16th 1977
Davy and Kristi to Crum’s Berry Farm and we picked 4 lb berries at $0.40 a pound. Howard washed wool from fleece Lil got me for me and I tried to dye it with sassafras roots and oak leaves. Kathi out and took kids to Lincoln Park swimming. Called Mary about 5 and they had just got home. 8500 mile trip to Washington and Oregon. Cooked pork roast from David and all here for supper. After they left Kathi suggested Philippines pictures and after one tray Al Tracy arrived. He and daughter had been swimming with them. Told me of their infatuation. Kathy hadn’t admitted earlier that Bob was not working out. !!!

Wednesday June 15th 1977
Found that Kathi and the kids went to Mohican yesterday with Al. But nobody told me. I deduced it!
