To Pogues arcade to see the decorations. White trees with thousands of white lights arching across the top with animated animal scenes in all the windows with a castle in the center and two talking deer. Kids loved it. Met David at the model railroad set up at electric company and went to Music Hall for “The Nutcracker”. The kids went to sleep but Sarah enjoyed some of it.
Movies and slides tonight
At the shop only Mary and Laura and Terry worked did 31 funeral pieces.

Very low-key Christmas as Howard said no presents. But I did give him a latch hook mushroom scene. Lil gave me fireplace matches and color chemicals and popcorn popper, Kass kitchen towels, Cheryl cheese log. Had dinner about 12 & Howard had call from Irene inviting him over as Barb and Jim were home. Left for David’s about 1. Kids all excited with toys in basement and Karen had new table that David made set for dinner down there. Cozy Coupe that the kids peddled was biggest hit. They gave me a “Little House” cookbook, pictures of Sarah and a door dog to keep out drafts by laying at bottom of door. I gave David $250 for his zoom lens, Karen an electric pencil sharpener, David a bulk film loader and black and white and Ektachrome film. Karen had gourmet dinner starting with french onion soup, steak, cauliflower and broccoli with ranch dressing. Had Mumm’s extra dry champagne that Terry and Diane Zacharias gave me. Jed is changing in looks.

With the deliveries yesterday today was a breeze- never had 3 better delivery boys. Took in the tree decorated with “baubles” for all employees. Gave the incidental help each $10 cash- paid extra delivery $3 an hour.
My gift from employees is a Sunbeam “La Chef” food processor. Can’t wait to use it. Chops, mixers, purees, slices, etc, etc- 4 different blades.
Randy made Sloppy Joes and macaroni salad for us
Closed at 5 and to Mary’s for supper- only mother there. Howard wouldn’t go. Kenny and Mary got me a digital scale. Got the two gifts I really wanted! Quilted vest from Kathy. Fixed bed and new room so mother could stay all night. Mary and Kenny to church and then to Kenny’s niece’s in Delaware. I hemmed dress Mary gave mother and stayed with her until 9, but she wouldn’t go to bed. Took 10 poinsettias to East Lawn Manor and put them under tree in lobby “for those who Santa forgot”. Kathi called just as I got home. Thrilled over camera Nikkormat.
