Laid off – sick? Tired / Played games, woodworkin’ all day. Slept some. SJ to mother’s tonite.

Thursday, January 10, 1952
More snow, just enuf to cover ice & make melting it.– T. got me for lunch at 552. Tonite, SJ to show with her mother & it. & I took T. to Mary’s for Pietza (sp?) Pie* – nice.

* Pizza Pie was new to Marion at that time – Mary Rockwell had discovered it in New York where she was a WAC during WWII.

Wednesday, January 9, 1952
Day off. Fun. Pomes mostly. Took SJ to school am, sold mags & rags (52 cents!!). We groceried, quick trip after school. She went to Flo’s tonite. I went T.’s for “eating” trip – short that is.

Tuesday, January 8, 1952
Warmer & thawed (after 1″ snow early!) T. had me her house for lunch, egg trip, waffles, S. & I for supper. To T.’s tonite – nice time.

Saturday, January 12, 1952
Worked. T.’s for lunch. Home tonite. SJ got home at 5 from Flo’s. We TV’d somewhat.

Monday, January 7, 1952
Slick walking, but better’n Saturday. Home tonite – bugs & verses while Sandy TV’s. Chili for supper. Bed 9:50.

Sunday, January 6, 1952
Coldish. Stayed at bugs mostly, verses, till after supper. Took T. and kids to Hutchman’s on Forest Lawn. Had slides, etc.

Saturday, January 5, 1952
Very slippery walking & fairly tough mail and no sleep. Nap tonite, supper alone (SJ was full). Poems tonite, letters, etc. She TV’s.

Friday, January 4, 1952
Gave me a full-time [???] & we cleaned $21 up. To T.’s for supper & talk. 12:30, nice time. SJ to her mother’s 12:30. I’m on uptown, etc & all suites.
(Toe cramps-up an hr. typing & setting bugs!)

Thursday, January 3, 1952
$215.87 ($73.13 overtime) 29 hrs. Snow again, 1″ mebbe. T. hauled me in. Went bank, Kresge’s, SJ (Sandra Jean, his daughter), & I got groceries after. Visited Ruth Howard 1 hr. or so. Disney [sic?] not there. Sinuses acting up some – couldn’t sleep last nite.
